A Place To Belong And Become

When you visit, you can expect a welcoming environment, meaningful worship, and Scripture that connects to everyday life. We also believe God still speaks, heals, and transforms—so we’re not just learning about Jesus, we’re learning to live with Him.

Community is a big deal to us. Small groups are where friendships form, faith grows, and you get support for the week-to-week stuff. There’s a place for you to be known, loved, and encouraged—because we believe life with Jesus is something we do together.

We believe in equipping everyone to join God’s mission of compassion right from day one.

Our mission is to welcome Jesus into all of life. We stand firmly in the center of orthodox Christian teaching, drawing from the rich traditions of the Church throughout history and adhering to its major creeds: the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Chalcedonian Creed.

We Are a People of the Kingdom of God
The Vineyard is distinctively centered in a renewed understanding of the centrality of the kingdom of God in biblical thought. We view the kingdom of God as the overarching and integrating theme of the Bible. We’ve been commissioned to proclaim the Good News of the kingdom, bearing witness to the already and not yet of the kingdom in words and deeds.

Our Core Values – We are a people of the Kingdom of God who:

  1. Partner With The Holy Spirit We believe God eagerly desires us to experience His presence and then partner with Him in showing His love to the world. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts among us, enabling us to encounter God’s presence and minister to the world in the power of the Spirit. We’re not simply implementing church strategies—we’re praying and finding power from God to accomplish what humans could never accomplish on their own.
  2. Experience And Worship God The kingdom of God is a dynamic realm where we experience the reality of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Experience-based worship is the central activity of all we do. We value an approach to God’s presence that is respectful both of God and of those we are with, avoiding hype while genuinely welcoming the Spirit’s work through prophecy, prayer languages, healing, miracles, and other gifts.
  3. Reconcile People With God And All Creation Jesus is reconciling humans to God, to each other, and to the entire creation. We’re committed to becoming healing communities engaged in the work of reconciliation, actively breaking down barriers of race, culture, gender, social class, and ethnicity. We seek to be diverse communities of hope that realize the power of the cross to reconcile what has been separated by sin.
  4. Engage In Compassionate Ministry We lean toward the lost, the poor, the outcast, and the outsider with the compassion of Jesus. Ministry in Jesus’ name is expressed in concrete ways through the local church—serving the poor as though serving Jesus Himself. Compassion is the hallmark of the one who was moved with compassion in the face of human need.
  5. Pursue Culturally Relevant Mission In The World The church exists for those who are exiled from God. We’re called to bring the Gospel of the kingdom to every corner of creation, faithfully translating the message of Jesus into language and forms relevant to diverse peoples and cultures. We promote a creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative approach to ministry that is faithful to Jesus and expressive of His heart.

Yes! We believe church is for the whole family. We offer age-appropriate programming for children during our Sunday services, because we know kids encounter God in powerful ways too. Our children’s ministry creates a safe, fun environment where kids can learn about Jesus, worship, and experience the Holy Spirit at their level.

Keeping Kids Safe: The safety of children is our highest priority. We take multiple precautions to ensure kids are protected while in our care:

  • Background Checks – Every children’s ministry volunteer undergoes a thorough background check before serving with kids. No exceptions.
  • Two-Person Policy – We strictly adhere to a two-person policy—no child is ever left alone with a single adult. This protects both children and volunteers.
  • Secure Check-In/Check-Out – We use a secure check-in process so that only authorized adults can pick up children after services.
  • Trained Volunteers – Our team is trained in safety protocols, age-appropriate teaching, and creating a welcoming environment where kids can encounter God.

First-Time Visitors: If you’re visiting for the first time, our kids ministry team will help you get checked in and answer any questions. We want parents to feel confident that their children are not only having fun and learning about Jesus, but are also in a safe, well-supervised environment.

We’d love to meet your family!

Questions about kids ministry? Talk with our children’s ministry team on Sunday or email info@missionvineyard.org.

Our worship is contemporary and Spirit-led. We sing a mix of modern worship songs and classics, usually with a full band. But worship for us is more than just music—it’s about creating space to encounter God together. You might experience prayer for healing, prophetic words, or times of quiet reflection alongside energetic praise. We follow the Vineyard approach of being “naturally supernatural”—we expect the Holy Spirit to show up, but we keep things accessible and down-to-earth.

We also celebrate communion every week because we believe regularly remembering Jesus’ sacrifice keeps us centered on the gospel.

Come as you are, participate as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Everyone gets to play.

We believe in equipping families to disciple children together. Resources include:

  • Bible App for Kids – Interactive Bible stories for young children
  • RightNowMedia – FREE access for Mission Vineyard attendees to thousands of Bible study videos for all ages
  • The Marriage Course – Tools for building healthy marriages
  • Alpha Youth Course – Faith exploration for high schoolers
  • Small group resources on parenting, finances, and more

Our vision is for every stage of life—childhood through older adulthood—to be discipled in ways that honor where people are.

¡Sí! We have a vibrant Spanish-speaking campus called Viña San Antonio, led by Pastor Elias. Viña offers full services in Spanish with culturally relevant worship and teaching.

Both our English and Spanish congregations are part of the same Mission Vineyard family—we’re one church with two expressions. Whether you’re more comfortable in English or Spanish, you’re home here.

Visit vinasanantonio.org to learn more, or visit both campuses and see where you connect!

Kids & Youth Programs

Our teaching is focused on Jesus and welcoming Jesus into all of life through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Parents: We want to partner with you from the very first visit. We want to be your biggest fans, your strongest supporters and your trusted guides as you raise your child to know what it means to follow Jesus.
Sunday morning involves safe and engaging activities, friendly faces, and exciting songs to help kids ages 1 year through 6th grade welcome Jesus into all of life.

Elementary age children remain in the service with their families through worship & communion. At that point, they are escorted to their classroom for their own lesson, crafts, & games until the end of the service.

Have questions? Email Berkely@missionvineyard.org

Kids on a mission meets upstairs in two of the DoSeum birthday rooms for kids 1 year through 6th grade. The rooms are roughly divided into a nursery/preschool room and elementary age.

All lessons are based in the scriptures and involve a lot of community building among the kids.

Kids get to participate in the lessons and are empowered to grow in their own discipleship with parents help.

Youth Programs

Youth are active & vital participants in all we do on Sunday mornings. Presently we are praying for new, dedicated youth volunteers & space to meet more regularly.

All of our youth events and small groups have one focus in mind – that at the end of High School each student would grow into experiencing this kind of discipleship throughout their Middle School and High School years.
